If you have been added as an “author”, you can add new posts or comment on existing ones. If you are taking the class – in SF, Bogota, or remorely – you should have received an invitation. Anyone can write comments on the posts. (Let me know if you are not an author and would like to be added. If I don’t know you personally, please email me (find my email address on google) and tell me about your math background and whether you plan to follow the course – the lecture videos and notes are on my website. You are welcome to participate, I just want to avoid internet robots.)

You can type mathematical equations using LaTeX – just write “latex” after the first $ sign. For example, to type you just need to write $latex \Delta c = \sum c_{(1)} \otimes c_{(2)}$.

If you don’t know LaTeX, you should learn it. It is the one and only typesetting language that professional mathematicians use. You can see my favorite quick introduction to LaTeX by clicking here. You can see other useful tips on using LaTeX on wordpress blogs here.

I hope to be able to allow you to edit your comments after you’ve made them, particularly to check your LaTex. It seems that this is a tricky thing to arrange. If you know how to do this, please let me know.

Anas, welcome! Please send me (Federico Ardila) an email (you can use google to find my email address) telling me about your background in mathematics and whether you intend to follow the course – you can find the lecture videos and notes on my website.

You are welcome to participate, I just want to make sure you are an interested student, and not an internet robot. 🙂
